Welcome to the
Cathedral Choir School
of Delaware

Full scholarships in our after-school program are available for students ages 7-17 in Wilmington, Delaware.

One of the biggest divides in education between rich and poor students is that wealthier students are exposed to environments of continued learning during after-school hours and summer breaks while poorer students are not often afforded these opportunities. The Cathedral Choir School exists to provide an environment of continued learning that all students so acutely need.

Choristers in elementary through high school come to the Choir School
Mondays through Thursdays 3:00-6:00 p.m. to complete homework, practice the piano and spend supervised time in our safe and nurturing environment. This after-school program is in residence at the Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew & Matthew in Wilmington, Delaware.

The Cathedral Choir School is a winner of the prestigious Coming Up Taller Award, our nation's highest honor for after-school youth arts programs.

The Cathedral Choir School of Delaware has moved to the Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew and Matthew.

The Cathedral Choir School of Delaware remained in the city of Wilmington when it moved to the Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew and Matthew (SsAM) in August, 2012. Click here to learn more.

After-School Volunteers Needed

Can you review spelling and vocabulary words? Help with simple math problems? Sit and encourage a child while they are practicing the piano? Introduce a child to the joys of reading? Play a board game and engage in conversation? If so, we need you!

Students in elementary through high school come to the Choir School to practice the piano and spend supervised time in our safe and nurturing environment.

We need adults to spend time with our students during these critical after-school hours. Can you spare two hours one afternoon a week? This is a perfect opportunity for newly-retired folks who are exploring new opportunities. Please contact Leslie Acker-Rowe at the Choir School, 302 543-8657 ext. 2 to learn more.
