Wanted: Contact Information, Remembrances and Old PhotosTo make sure that everyone has the chance to be part of the celebration, the Office of Alumni Relations is gathering names and contact information of alumni. If you sang in the choir and are not currently on the Cathedral Choir School mailing list, or if you know the whereabouts of other alumni and would be willing to contact them, or if you have pictures and remembrances of the choir that you would like to share, please contact Lisa Slinkard.
Cathedral Church of Saint John parishioner Beverly Romain has offered her talents as a writer to help raise money for the Choir’s upcoming New York City Tour. She has written a story in honor of her grandson and chorister Cameron Dixon. The book, The Day The Bell Rang, has been published and is for sale by the Choir School. Readers will see some familiar Cathedral characters in the story, including a choirmaster, choristers who are preparing for a tour, a church secretary, clergy, birds in a bell tower, and a mystical wind that creates music. Beverly Romain was born in Kingston, Jamaica and developed her love of writing at an early age. Her next work will be a book of Caribbean short stories. To purchase The Day The Bell Rang, call the Choir School at 302 654-6279, ext 2. Books are $10 plus $2 shipping.
